Goodman & Associates is a mid-sized chartered professional accounting firm based in Toronto, Canada.
Our first priority is you, our clients. We put the needs of our clients before our own to ensure you have an accounting partner that you can trust and count on. It’s our founding philosophy of building long term partnerships with our clients.
The firm was founded in 1994. In 2012 we rebranded the firm from SGGG to become Goodman & Associates LLP.
We thrive on the give-and-take relationships we develop with our clients. We enjoy learning from our clients and their experiences, while taking the time to teach them on recent trends and tax planning initiatives.

Management Team
Alan Goodman
Managing Partner, CPA, CA, LPA
Alan Goodman is the Managing Partner of Goodman & Associates. He sets the pace, trains the team, and delivers remarkable client experiences.
Alan leads by example. His goal is to make every client feel like they are the only client of the firm. He believes a good client relationship revolves around respect and trust, and it’s up to the firm and its team to establish that relationship. He achieves this through transparency, constant and open communication, and education.
You will often hear Alan say, “I am big on education.” To be a trusted advisor takes more than technical competence. It takes a commitment to educate and provide clear, understandable guidance.
Alan is a graduate of York University, and obtained his CPA, CA designation in 1985. Alan lives in Toronto, and is an active runner. He ran his first marathon in 1987, and runs fives days a week.
Magda Taylor
Partner, CPA, CA, LPA
Magda Taylor is a Partner with Goodman & Associates. She began her career at Goodman & Associates approximately 14 years ago.
Magda specializes in auditing investment funds and asset management companies registered with the Ontario Securities Commission. Additionally, she is experienced with public and private companies in various industries including financial, hospitality, retail, leasing, real estate and not-for-profit organizations.
Magda is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Toronto. In 2001, she obtained her CPA, CA designation.
In her free time, Magda balances her professional career with being a caring mother and wife; an avid reader; and a gym enthusiast. Magda also enjoys travelling to broaden her horizons and experiencing different cultures.
Allan Gold
Partner, CPA, CA, MBA
Allan Gold is a Partner with Goodman & Associates. He leads the firm’s Hedge Fund Audit Support group.
Allan is a pioneer in providing accounting services for hedge funds. He helped start the practice in 1997 with one client, and has been instrumental in growing the group into one of Canada’s largest providers of Hedge Fund Audit Support.
Personal service is the hallmark of Allan’s approach to clients. His clients know he puts their needs first, and he is always available to them. He prides himself on timely service, personal relationships, and providing direct access to him and his team.
Allan is a graduate of York University, and obtained his CPA, CA designation and MBA in 1975. Allan lives in Toronto, and is working hard to put his daughter through law school. (Who says children leave the nest?)
